Or should we say life’s storms grow the beauty that we are not patient waiting for.
Snow Showers? The snow is still falling…its April! Are you kidding me? I’m tired of the cold, the gray days, the bundling up. I’m impatient for the sun, the flowers the new season!
Nature can teach us a lot if we open our eyes and hearts to what’s around us. The seasons of life are much like the seasons of the earth. Sometimes its dark and cold like winter and it lags on for what seems like forever. We loose all hope of beauty, the flowers of spring that may never bloom. The Sun on our face that will never shine. Dramatic? Maybe a little, only because we know that no matter how long any season runs its course, the next one will eventually come. We have witnessed it over and over and no one can tell us different.
However, if this was new to you, and you didn’t have history to remind you of this, you may not know and loose heart. That’s when you need to trust those around you when they say… Spring is Coming!
One of my favorite flowers of Spring is the tulip. The actual life source of this plant never dies. Where does it live most of its life? Underground, in the dirt, the cold, isolated. But when it pushes its way out it is a burst of Color and Design that brightens everything around it. It is hope that serves its purpose for that season and is anticipated by the one who planted it and the ones who know its coming back every year.
I’m not sure where you are in your season but God planted you there and no matter how dark, cold, or dirty it may be, you are not there forever. Use this time to Grow into your moment that people are waiting for. Some one needs you to spring up and shine to give them hope!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven”
