We struggle to spend time with each other, instead of our busy world we have gotten used too. The people we choose to love and do life with, we now have to live with. Funny huh? Forced into a place where we are needing change, we are learning to embrace the things around us. Finding nature again because we can’t be stuck in the house any longer. Kids need an outlet and we need fresh air. I am in awe at the acceptance of nature. We are the sick ones yet she welcomes us with open arms as we stroll along her pathways. Taking her for granted that we are allowed to play in her garden, the streams sing to us and the trees bow to meet us as we enter. The birds are calling us to play and we are looking as children do… for the rainbows.
These are times we have never seen before yet they are not new. They are times we will tell to our children, a lesson in history perhaps. Will they listen? Did we? The affect of this time is different for all of us, but all of us, it affects. However in it we all have a promise. As we walk with our children, family, and friends, we look for Rainbows in windows. Some are made from paper and paint. They may be big or little. You may need to look hard or they may be right in front of your face. Either way, the Rainbow is a promise that points upward. Take the word literally, Rain-Bow. The rain is usually not a sunny time but light has to shine through the gloom to see the beauty and color. From an archers stand point the bow points upward, because any arrow of death released goes back to the creator for him to absorb the wrath of sin, what he so graciously does time and time again. We need to remember the Rainbow (or translated from the Hebrew meaning, war-bow). The back drop and secret of Gods sweeping grace, of second chances.
So make the most of this time whether it is your first, second or third chance to enjoy your family. Enjoy nature and the earth. Enjoy your neighbor and fellow man. Enjoy this moment. Choose to look to the future of hope and grace. Be thankful for what you do have and for the people and life around you.
Choose to see the RAINBOW!
