As we reflect on the past year, we again have a choice on how we look at our surroundings. Every season brings with it the chance to retreat, push forward or rest. If we fall back it can be a learning experience or just a hardship. If we press through and don’t lose faith we are awarded the victory. Sometimes the gain is not the goal but rather the ability to move forward in uncharted waters without sinking. Growth takes place when we take a risk. Someone once said sink or swim. I say its also okay to just float sometimes. (Easier said then done if your the type of person that is used to swimming laps)
For some of us we look at life day by day. Others plan years out. Both come with Pros and Cons and that’s what makes us unique and need each other. Life gives us all good seasons and ones with challenges. When your in a Good season, enjoy it! When you’re in a challenge, don’t waste it, embrace it and grow. They both come to an end eventually and we must move on.
If your like me you have already hung up your flip chart for 2018 with all your goals, personal and professional. You’ve assessed the ones you didn’t hit this past year and you’ve celebrated the ones you did. Take a step back. Add one more, Seek God and his timing. It may not be yours. Keep your vision but also keep it open. The picture may be setting you up for a vision better then you imagined. For you day to day people… we visionaries admire your ability to wait and see what’s around the next corner. Although we choose to look at that way of thinking as it must be a rush or a thrill for you to want to do that to yourselves, it totally stresses us out not to be in control. Ask God for his vision. After all, its better to have his then yours anyway.
Love Fearlessly,
Ann-Marie
