When someone asks us for permission to speak its usually followed by a knot in our stomach and a statement of truth we do not want to face but need to. May be we already know it. Sometimes this is in the boardroom and sometimes in the bedroom. Sometimes it comes from a stranger, a loved one, or ourselves. It can be as simple as a pain in the neck, or as deep as a pain in the heart.
What is said is now in the open and a decision must be made. You can ignore the word or choose to deal with it. Sometimes its a feeling. Give yourself permission to feel. Ask God what it means. The good news is the pain you feel you can heal! No one likes things to be exposed but wounds that are never addressed never heal.
So give yourself permission to act. Let trusted friends speak into your life. Pray about what is spoken and the action that is necessary to remedy it. Whether personal or professional always make the decision to grow through what you go through.
