It’s not where I’d envisioned I would be, but here I am! A lot goes into the making of a woman. I never planned on getting divorced ever, but I did, twice. I grew up with an alcoholic parent, 11th grade High School drop out, I lost my Mom at 19 years of age while planning my first wedding. Two failed marriages, business deal reneged. I could keep going, believe me, I am not looking for an “Oh poor Tammy”, instead I want you to see these are my building blocks .., you take the cards and play the hand you are dealt or fold. I chose to play. I figured I could either sit on a pity pot or learn from my experiences .
I choose to learn , I did the exact opposite of what I was exposed to growing up. When raising my son I chose to break the pattern. It wasn’t easy but he turned out pretty good. He is an environmental scientist and owns a thriving business on EBay that specializes in electronics. It wasn’t a perfect home life but it was better than I had .
After my Dad reneged selling me the family business, I was bound and determined to become a success on my own. I chose my passion of photography and it became a rewarding career for me. I have lectured throughout the country on my unique style of photography. My work has been published in coffee table books with photographies elite, featured in magazines and educational books, and have earned three prestigious Kodak gallery awards (equal to an Oscar or an Emmy in the photography world). Not bad for a high school drop out?. My drive and desire to be successful came from the building bocks in my life. A little over a year ago I was reconnected with God. I started going to church and I can say that I am so excited that I am now walking everyday with the Lord. Amazing things have and are continuing to happen to me. In a year my life has changed for the better and healing in relationships and with myself has brought me to a peaceful and joyful place. I am ecstatic to see what he brings next as he unveils my purpose and continues to show me how I can take every circumstance that life has given me and apply it to a future with the two most important areas of my life. My son and my career with photography.
